Without him, Big Boss is just plain boring. No masala, no excitement. Everyone dancing and singing and saying good good words about others. I switched off my TV after 15 mins of today's episode. WE WANT KAMAAL BACK TO BIG BOSS. Let's file a petition here and send it to Big Boss team to bring him in to the show again.

Like Regulatory Authorities for almost every thing, Power, Telecom ect., Why should not there be a regulator for this too. Its very right that Pvt. employers show glamour before joining a often the employee feels cheated once in job. Therefore, a regulator must come into existance to check frudulant practices of Pvt. Employers.

Indians are not responsible citizens

What People Thinks

by Rajesh srivastav

Sometimes I feel ashamed of being an Indian becoz we are such a selfish lot, we dont have respect for others we only believe in jugaad and always try to fulfil our needs and nobody give a bhakra nangal damm for our country. country is at priority number 1000 in the list of every Indian. we are not reponsible citizens.
by True Indian
Dear friend... The feeling of hopelessness is natural given the current state of affairs in every walk of life in our nation.
But it is the responsibility of every sane person of this nation to make a start and take the whole nation on the path of responsibility and accountability and then progress and prosperity for all of us will follow. Otherwise we will do all the things for our own selfish SHORT TERM interests and people from other nations will break our nation (which already has started).
Dont despair. COME WHAT MAY. BE A GOOD CITIZEN... HELP YOUR COMMUNITY UNDERSTAND HOW TO BE A GOOD CITIZEN. HOW IT COULD HELP ALL OF US IN THE LONG TERM.
REMEMBER NO NATION MADE PROGRESS IN A DAY. WE HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE.

Now you know why India is the way it is? Don't to look much further than Bharat Arora and there are plenty of such species in our India. And Bharat, today is Sunday so don't bother to quantify how much idle I am. Regardless how busy I am I still find time to spare a thought for my motherland.

It sounds cliched. But, we need to change these type of people. The least we can do is ignore them and continue with our work.

Well, more than a job you need some sanity. You had the audacity to give a useless reply to something that was something worthwhile.
It speaks of your own self worth.

Papal Revisionism

by D goel

Me thinks that even so cocksure Divines like Papal Orthodoxy do not always have the guts to stick to their Dogmas , after flow of time reveals them the folly of their dogmas.
This is what has been reported about change of appraisal of old Church Anthemas of Catholic Ideology such as the Astronomer Galileo , Darwin as well amoral hedonist Oscar Wilde , and now Karl Marx ,Himself , who is seen as Savant who powerfully advocated rehumanisation of alienated Proletariat into existing Society by ensuring undermining conditions of their slavery. So the moral seem to be that no religious Dogma could hold its own bemused followers even, over long Periods, despite devout adherence of followers to any kind of non-sense when pushed down with solemn mimicry.

" “Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: It transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural and the spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity.”

Citi Service worst in India

by jayram mani

citi is the worst- my card got exchanged with another citi customer who spent with my card- when the mistake was discovered i informed citi and they promised to tell me the contact details of the person as they knew him and it was a genuine mistake- nothing happened- i was harassed and hounded for a whole year , sometimes 5 calls at all odd hours a day-i tried everything and discovered that all the employees are outsourced and nobody could take decisions- it was sorted out in 18 months-the emotional trauma was unbearable and these guys would pay millions of dollars as compensation in any civilized country.

Credit Card or Cruel Card?

What People Thinks

by Prashanthi Trading
Huge late fee, Annual fee,Very High interest rate(like a blade company)Cheating through improper billing, trapping the customers with insurance policies, sending recovery agents to house and calling continuously through phone in case the payment is delayed by few days after the due date, enquiring with neighbours and relatives in case the customer is out of station, sending SMS to customer's mobile phones and threatening to inform CIBIL, and the list is endless. Why should a person suffer like this ,just for a few days credit facility given by banks in the form of Cruel Card?

What People Thinks

by Dinesan T
I have been using credit cards ever since 1996 and have been very regular in my payments. Since the time I left Mumbai on transfer it has become a problem for reaching the payment to the banks in time and my problems started and it became a big mess. My dispute with one of the credit card banks is continuing and hopefully a solution will come. I have stopped using credit cards for the past few years and als, my life has become so tension free. I use my debit cards for almost all the internet related banking and I need not keep any records, no payment worries, no theatening calls, no fines nothing. The only thing I have to do is to verify my bank account and buy things within my budget. I am of the openion, for an ordinary person salaried or otherwise, who has got a fixed income, there is no need for a credit card and it has become a very big fraud. It is like a biting shoe and the comfort you will understand only once you get rid of it.

Financial Planning is necessary

What People Thinks

by Suhas Vadulekar
Financial Planning is necessary
In todays world, financial assistance is required by majority of individuals. There are very few persons who can control their needs and spend only on the basis of earning. Taking into view these facts many banks offered easy money to people in India in terms of Personal loans and credit cards with huge limits. These banks has an intelligent policy. They rate customers based on their use of cards and repayments. Once they see that a customer is continuously reaching the available limit on card and using money for maximum time, they stop giving any facility to them because they know that customer can't do anything if they charge him Rs. 300-600 more. I have experienced this many times. When my card balance is very low I get a call from citibank on one day before bill generation that you seem to have forgotten to make payment for last month. So can you make payment today ? The tone is very polite. Whereas if my balance is 80% of my limit I start getting calls 10 days before my due date and they ask me details of payments which I will make ie. date, mode payment, cheque no, bank & lastly where will I drop it ? as if they are going to make one person stand their at drop box to collect my cheque. Even after payment, I get call for confirmation.
So, one must plan wisely and use credit cards as a means of temporary credit. Interest rate, other charges and nuisance value all are very high for credit cards. So do not get addicted to credit cards.

Beware of Credit Card

by Anna Chimbori

I had used my Credit Cards for over 10 years now. Believe me, its just dangerous way to spend & increase your outgoings.

I have made settlement for 5 of my credit cards with various banks. Only 2 are now pending, which I will be settling off very soon.

We are just going through american way of spending what they did over last two decades. They are now facing the crunch of credits. Indians will face this situation very soon.

My sincere request to my brothers & sisters to stay away from Credit Cards. Let your Debit Card (Bank Balance) be the only way of spending.

Daylight robbery SBI PLUS....

by Rajesh Shetty

One more example of daylight robbery..
Guys..how abt this.. I go to a TV showroom. I want to pay thro my SBI card, but i m not sure how much limit I have. So I ask the shopkeeper to check out if I have that limit for that purchase of TV. If not, I tell him that I ll pay the balance in cash. The shopkeeper swipes the card, and ...voila...the full sale is through !
And even before I have enjoyed my first movie on my TV, a day or 2 later, I recieve a detailed accusation letter from SBI cards, saying 'you have exceeded ur credit limit. Hence u pay a hefty penalty for the same..!!!
Welcome to SBI Protection Plus...A fraud thats played on the unsuspecting public. Any card will have a credit limit, and it is not supposed to okay a swipe in excess of that limit. But this is where SBI's Protection Plus scheme takes u for a ride. This is not a scheme that u have voluntarily opted for, its a free trap provided by SBI cards. In case ur purchase bill exceed the limit, online ur card is not rejected. Instead, SBI Protection Plus will give u an extended surplus credit online, without any questions asked, and then accuse u of overstepping the limit.
So far an excess limit of Rs. 500 on my card ( which was given online by the company itself without my knowledge ), I ended up paying a penalty of almost Rs. 300-400, plus interest charges, in addition to the normal charges. When I enquired abt this, the lady gave a standard reply - you should have clarified ur credit limit before purchase..! Daylight robbery SBI PLUS...!!!

I am Happy about this over charging

You guys first of all you must understand that the credit card is product of capitalism/capitalist. And second, this plastic instrument made to keep in (unseen) chain of debt on each and every day. You are their debtor always, then you don't have the right to bark. Third, what you expect from the bloody RBI, it is their (capitalist) slave, will not take a single step without master's approval. Fourth, now rewind your memory and remember credit card cutting movement in Europe? Ofcourse the youths in Europe took this step to protect people from being debtor of banks, but you know what will happen to the youths. Fifth, just take a pair scissors and cut down that plastic junk and get relief and you can live happily.

ABNAMRO Credit Card

What People Thinks

by DESH RANJAN

Banks like ABNAMRO are also leader in cheating the customers by selling the Medical Insuarance policies which they never provide to the customers. They immediately debit your account and you helplessly keep asking them for the policy document. They neither supply you the documents nor acceed to your cancellation requests. They even do not attend to your email complaints.Meanwhile keep charging penalties like late fee and your outstanding goes on inflating. You keep crying for the policy or for its cancellation but they will go on delaying. You will start getting calls from the recovery cell with threatening of CIBIL rating. You fall in a trap. You do not have time to go to RBI for few thousand rupees, and ultimately you surrender and decide to close the matter by paying this money to the bank. This way i have learned a lesson from ABNAMRO.I wish that no one should fall in such traps.Avoid using credit cards.Use only debit cards.Save your time and money.
by Globalcrusador
Desh, you are not alone, I am also fighting a similar con game played on me by ABN AMRO. I asked them to send me the details first before I say yes or no and they go ahead and debit my card without my approval.Slowly, one by one, all Banks are falling into the CHOR category. It is high time RBI or Finance Minsitry put a dead stop to the sale of policies on phone - it is an open con game for every one to see because nothing is in writing.
by Dipankar Ray
ABN Amro tops the list. Their shop should be closed without delay and without notice. But the worst offender I guess is the RBI. This crap has been going on for years right in front of their eyes, but they either lack the balls to take out those miscreants, or simply corner their cut and sleep away on the complaints.

Pay on time and make the banks cry

I have been a long time user of Credit Cards, and through wise use I have been having a blast. Here is how you can do so:

1. Keep track of your bill dates and payment due dates. This helps you to take full advantage of the 40-50 day interest free period they offer.
2. User less number of cards, 1 or 2 at max. Having too many cards makes tracking difficult and makes you prone to to missing payment deadlines.
3. Make effective use of competition. I have 4 lifetime free credit cards each one hard bargained by pitting its benefits against those of other bank cards. However, I use only one and can threaten surrendering my card or an erring bank if the need arises.
4. Select cards with recurring benefits in form of cash back or reward points. When I say recurring, I mean the cash back/reward points must be available for each transaction at all merchants and not for selected merchants only.
5. Select a card with Zero Fuel surcharge at ALL petrol pumps. This is a real boon.
6. Develop the mentality that your credit card is equivalent to cash in your wallet. The day you start using your CC as hard cash, the banks will start crying.
7. Select a CC from a bank with easy payment channels i.e. easily accessible drop boxes, internet payment, cash payment at any branch (though all banks have made this channel chargeable now).

Af-Pak region is a cauldron of poison

It threatens the entire world with destruction, if the taliban - al quaeda mob can get hold of the pak nukes.. .. even otherwise terror will continue to be exported from here to the rest of the world.. but this is as per the law of karma ! the US and Pak Govts had nurtured the taliban and osama bin laden himself. they had armed, trained, financed and led these killer mobs in the so called jehad against najibullah.. we remember the stance of the US govt when the taliban dragged najib and his brother from a UN protected compound in kabul, tortured them inhumanly and killed them like street dogs ! the US govt and the media sat back and applauded these murders ! now who else but the US and pakistan will be bloodied in afghanistan? no sympathies for them ! our heart bleeds for the other victims of the taliban in india, europe and the rest of the world though .

Clean India!

Evolution was good, so was innovation, but the result was polution. Man's apathetic behavior resulted in waste being considered as garbage and hence to be thrown into the rivers, seas, and piles of dumps. Land fills, was one solution but with radiation and carcinogens dangers of cancer and other fatal diseases notwithstanding. So, where did we go wrong. We as citizens of the world, have a duty to posterity. Keep India clean, keep the world clean.

When it comes to keeping my money

Looks like this will an ad campaign for Swiss Bank in India!

They may start with a TV commercial with SRK/AB/MSD. Imagine:
1) SRK: Thoda aur wish karo, Swiss bank account kholo.
2) MSD: Running with a sack of money and chased by Yuvaraj, Raina etc and finally handing over to a waiting Swiss Bank official and saying with a relief: Now I can relax
3) AB: When it comes to keeping my money safe, I trust only Swiss Bank.

This post is to make reader laugh.

But why would anyone want to open a Swiss bank account?

Because, they will never ask your source of income. Is this not enough for Indian Politicians, Mafias, Criminals to stash their money there?
What People Thinks
by deepak
you can hv that arrangement with non Swiss banks as well. the main thing is credibility and banking reputation of the swiss. even an Indian bank would keep a huge sum of money if an Indian politician stole it and refused to divulge its source. can be done.
by Ezhumalayan
Not only that, the swizz banks do not divulge the details to any country, even if the account is owned by a terrorist, crook, or fraud...This is NOT a MYTH...

Why bank with Swiss Banks ?

Some one is trying to hoodwink people to believe all is well with Swiss Banks. Like even in India if one has to deposit or withdraw large amount Banks need your PAN. Millions of $s collected as commission or kick back from outside India by Indians (politicians/businessmen/beurocrats) get deposited / stashed in Swiss banks & no questions are asked by these banks about legitimacy & if taxes are paid on such incomes. If all is so hunky dory about Swiss Banks why these Banks and Swiss Govt. is so reluctant to furnish names, a/c Nos. etc of Indian account holders to our Govt.

It is becoming asort of joke as the duration is now getting longer with every passing election. Why should counting take 5 days after last ballot is cast? What is the point in having EVM if counting can't be done within 48 hrs of voting? It requires some serious explaining by EC or else opposition parties should move SC for correction.

Future of Internet

Elfrink believes that if cities plan well and intelligently use technologies which are available today - the social, economic and environmental effects would be monumental. Cities once networked will be able to not only intelligently deliver efficient services, but also significantly transform the quality of lives of its citizens by transforming functions such as healthcare, transportation and education.

What People Thinks

Your article is focused on proving internet is very useful provided future cities are planned properly.India is screwed there.Work from home may not be a good option for indian mindset.Besides, the internet has already isolated people and restricted human communication. It is changing the way people use to think and talk. What about privacy? ANy government can use these technologies to monitor anybody. So, finally its becoming true that we are all just numbers and robots. Perhaps this is what we call 'Dooms day' coming.

Bachchan - What a fraud and a scumbag

'Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan gifted' the controversial 1.383 hectare farmland (made out of 3 plots) earlier on Friday to a proposed college named after his actress daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai. Out of Two of the three plots in Daulatpur had already been gifted by Bachchan to the local 'gram sabha' .
When news broke out local village head Raj Kumari Singh threw a spanner in the works. According to her, 'a land once gifted away to the gram sabha cannot be gifted to anybody else.' and also said, "I will file a formal objection against the move, it is violation of UP land laws."

It is same land in which the super star found himself in the thick of a controversy and court battles on account of the alleged 'shady' manner in which the plots were acquired by him.

He has also said in the past that he was so scarred of travelling the he used to cry for whole nights in hotel rooms..I think it fair enough for him to opt out..personla health and satisfaction is more importance!! but a very good player

Obama accepted the coveted Nobel Peace Prize

Barack Hussein Obama is the 44th and current President of the United States. On October 9, 2009, Barack Obama became the fourth US president to win a Nobel Prize, winning the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.

What People Thinks

by SreenivasaRao Ketepalle

Obama deserves the Nobel Prize, but it may be a tad early
Obama richly deserves the Nobel Prize for steering US away from wars and in focusing on human values and cooperation in human existence. But it may be a tad early.
by dhirendra srivastavas
OBAMA WINS AWARD OF FIXED 50-50 MATCH
Giving aids in billions to Pakistan to fight on the front and to proceed with most destructive nucleo-thermal devices has been considered as a Noble Work and the Noble Cause by the Noble Prize Committee. For the first time Noble Prize has lost its glitter since its inception .I DARE TO COMPARE IT WITH FIXED 50-50 CRICKET MATCH.
Can any one tell any work of Obama as Noble Work. Check the USA economy, 1.4 Trillion dollar fiscal defecate for the first time after Second World war.and Head of the country awarded Nobel Prize at the cost of coming high taxation burden.
by Guest
More nobel prizes
Next for Obama is Nobel prize for literature. The Swedish committee will say he has written lots of literature including novel, philosophy and letters of peace to many countries. After that he will get for Physics, Chemistry and Medicine before he steps down from the Presidents post.

Nobel Prize not to Bapuji Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi was not awarded the Nobel Peace Prize but its followers Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi and the Dalai Lama has won Nobel Prize.

What People Thinks

by sanjit bhoumick

Mahatma - the spirit lives on
To the contrary of most opinion expressed before me, I actually think it is quite an extraordinary development that by intention or inadvertently we have a club of Gandhian philosophers occupying the Nobel Peace prize slot. While in no way does it condone the inactions of previous Nobel committees, it is an abiding testimony to the value of his ideals, and a truly memorable way to remember him down the ages. We should celebrate this development instead of continuing to crib. I'm sure the winners would agree with me...
by Gobinda Barman
Nobel Prize not to Bapuji
Because Mahatma Gandhi is above Nobel prize. He was and still is an inspiration which illuminates all of us including his another awarded follower, most powerful man of this world. However, his soul will be content when the whole world will be 'Global Village of Peace'.
by Vishal Sharma
Mahatma Gandhi not given Nobel Peace Prize in 1948!
Is it not the biggest irony of the mistakes that man makes? But Mahatma Gandhi not being given the Nobel Peace Prize cannot be overlooked by any explanations. It is an unwashable blot on the integrity of the people who occupy the Nobel recommendations' committee for their predecessors have committed such a grave mistake, that for generations to come the Nobel committee will have to face the discomfort of this question whenever Nobel Prizes for Peace are announced. It is a discomfort that cannot be washed away by even a million apologies or statements of we made a mistake. Sorry, the wave of time has passed and the integrity of the men and women occupying the Nobel recommendations' committee shall forever be questioned. That is something that the Nobel committee would have to live with, for its act of denying the Mahatma the Nobel Peace Prize in 1948 was not a noble act at all! That act has forever overshadowed the efficacy of the Nobel Peace Prize.
by vipul gupta
IF GANDHI DIDNT DESERVE IT...HOW CAN ANY OTHER ....
it is a paradox that a man of gandhi's stature didnt get the nobel peace prize.a man for whom even einstein was quoted as saying that the next generation wont even understand who Gandhi was...a man of extraordinary values didnt get it..so no1 else should get it..and why dignt he get it..well its for the Nobel peace committee to go back an dchange the rules and give him posthumously...that can only get their sins down...
by mallikarjun kenganal
Gandhi never practiced what he preached. No hardliner believed him during our fight for Independence. Because of him only it was delayed up to 1947 which would have been by 1919. No wonder in future Nathuram Ghodse will get an award for silencing Gandhi to avoid further division of India
by king gill
gandhi never won nobel prize , because ???
IF HE WOULD HAVE BEEN AMERICAN ,YES, HE WOULD HAVE WON - OR A MAN OF AMERICAL INTEREST THAN 100 PERCENT - BUT GANDHI WAS A " MAHATMA " HE DOES NOT NEED NOBEL PEACE PRIZE --TRUST ME

Sentry DA3930 Review

If you’re considering buying a fingerprint safe, one of the most popular safes on the market is the Sentry Safe DA3930 Biometric Safe. Straight out of the box, it is advertised that it helps protect your valuables from water, fire, and theft and is an ideal biometric safe for homes and businesses as it can be programmed for multiple users. The Sentry DA3930 is a popular introductory safe, but does it live up to its reputation? AvidBiometrics.com, a retailer who sells a variety of biometric safes, was kind enough to let us borrow this safe for a few weeks to put it up to the test. So here we go.

Basic Features
To begin, the DA3930 provides anti-theft features with 6 live-locking bolts. The locking mechanism is completely biometric and includes a backlit electronic keypad with a tubular key for additional security. The safe is also designed to protect from water and 2 hours of fire protection. The safe is ETL verified to protect contents from 2 hours of fire, and the water resistance is a great features in the event of a flood, or a fire where a sprinkler system is activated to extinguish the flames.

Construction
The DA3930 lock features armored steel construction, a metal handle, and 6 live-locking bolts to help protect your valuables. The safe is very sleek looking with a black and gunmetal gray finish with very clean hardware. The safe is designed to be bolted to a floor and even comes with mounting hardware. Other safes we have reviewed often charge extra for mounting hardware! To test it, we bolted the safe to a piece of plywood and found it to be an easy project for any do-it-yourselfer. We secured it in less than 20 minutes.

Fire Protection
Due to fire code restrictions in our warehouse, we were unable to put the safe to the ultimate test, but no worries – the good folks at Underwriters Laboratories have done that for us! This fingerprint safe is UL classified for 2 hours of fire protection for temperatures up to 1850 degrees F. It is designed to protect media like CD’s, DVD’s, and other electronics from water and fire. Lastly, in the event you decide to throw your safe out of a window (for whatever reason), it is UL classified for a 30-foot drop test.

Organizational Features
One of the key selling points we liked while reviewing this Sentry Safe is that is functional and has various features to help you keep your documents and valuables and organized. This fingerprint safe has a removal tray that allows you to stack your possessions, or you can remove it to store larger items. The tray worked well and fits A-4 sized papers and binders perfectly, helping you keep the contents extremely organized. It also includes a handy key rack on the door, so you can easily organize keys and label them. Perfect for the highly organized types like ourselves. This biometric safe also features a compartment on the door which is perfect for small items such as a jewelry or a small clip of cash.

The Biometric Lock

Again, the key selling point of the DA3930 is that it uses your fingerprint to authorize entry. We tested over 50 fingerprints and the biometric scanner performed perfectly every time. For the tech savvy – the biometric scanner utilizes a scanner which generates images at 500 dpi which meets the FBI and CIA security standards for reading fingerprints. Very cool.

The DA3930 allows you to have one manager (or administrator) and up to7 users. The manager has complete override ability and each user can store 2 fingerprints and an individual PIN code. Again, this is great for home use or an office setting where multiple people have access to the fingerprint safe. The DA3930 offers dual lock construction. What this means is that the safe can be opened via a fingerprint scan or with the users programmed PIN.

Our Review
After using this safe for a week, we were very pleased with it. Our only complaints was that we felt that the interior could be made of a more solid material and that the handle could be a bit more solid. Maybe it was the specific model we tested, but we have noticed that on numerous security safes that we test. Although, the safe is designed for theft protection, we feel that it makes a good introductory safe (especially at 135 lbs.) If you’re considering a solid steel completely indestructible safe, you’re generally looking at one that weighs over 500 lbs and costs several thousand dollars.
Despite these few slight drawbacks, the price is right for this safe. It runs around $400 and is a great introductory safe for anyone looking for the protection of a safe and the awesome functionality of biometric technology.

Again, thanks to AvidBiometrics.com for letting us write a Sentry DA3930 Review. Avid carries several dozen fingerprint safes at great prices, so be sure to check them out when you’re looking for a fingerprint safe!

What People Thinks

by Raman

I have brought Sentry DA3930 myself i think from safety point , it is perfect , there are people who are not happy with anything.
by Winnie
Ideally it give value for money , i will recommend people to buy it and use it to free from tension of their valuables getting stolen.

Protect your social networking sites accounts

Tips to protect your social networking sites accounts from fraudsters.

1. Adjust Web site privacy settings. Some networking sites have provided useful options to assist in adjusting these settings to help protect your identity.

2 .Be selective of your friends. Once selected, your "friends" can access any information marked as "viewable by all friends."

3. You can select those who have "limited" access to your profile. This is for those whom you do not wish to give full friend status to or with whom you feel uncomfortable sharing personal information.

4. Disable options and then open them one by one such as texting and photo sharing capabilities. Users should consider how they want to use the social networking site. If it is only to keep in touch with people then perhaps it would be better to turn off the extra options which will not be used.

5. Be careful what you click on. Just because someone posts a link or video to their "wall" does not mean it is safe.

Nobel for Indian Origin scientist Venkatraman Ramakrishnan

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Stockholm, has decided to award the Nobel Prize in chemistry for 2009 jointly to Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, United Kingdom, Thomas A. Steitz, Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA and Ada E. Yonath, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel 'for studies of the structure and function of the ribosome.'

Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, US citizen. Born in 1952 in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India. Ph.D. in Physics in 1976 from Ohio University, USA. Senior Scientist and Group Leader at Structural Studies Division, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK.

What People Thinks

by Magesh Magesh

India has nothing do with him
Indian system has nothing to do proud of him winning a nobel.
We should be ashamed that we have not produced any nobel prize from our soil recently.
What is there to be proud of in it.
All talented people leave India and then only they are shining. If we stay here corruption and inefficiency will take whatever talent we have out of us.
Let us be ashamed and try to change the system rather than claiming that his brain is Indian and all blah blah
by Krishna Reddy
It is not a great achivement, he must stayed in india like kalam
Whoever got education in india and fled this country must be treated as backstabbers
by Girija Guntur
Nobel prize
We are all very proud to know this. It is a result of around 30 years of dedicated efforts of a genius. God bless him. India has many such people, but do not know of them till the West recognises them. This is really sad. How many of us have heard of Dr Ramakrishnan himself before the Nobel news broke out. In contrast, all of us know a great deal about the likes of Rakhi Sawant.

The Government should take the right steps so that real -- not reel -- talent is recognised and nurtured in our country.
by t prasad
Another Nobel
It is very happy to hear Mr. Venkataraman Ramakrishnan to win the Nobel Prize. It was possible for him to do because, he was in the USA and had the environment that has helped him to achieve what he has achieved. Here in India, our entire educational system is based on Clerk Oriented. No matter what we study, we will endup doing the Clerical job. Hence, we could not produce any Nobel literates. Though we have some, whom we can count. The result of the present education system is the Brain drain.

US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro fell to a shock 6-4, 6-4 defeat by world number 189 Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the first round of the Japan Open on Tuesday.

Japan open
I think the look on his face says it all.. Del Potro should consider himself lucky to have won against Roger in the US final. He is not a complete player and no wonder finds losing to a qualifier in the first round itself.
by RAVIKANTH KONDAPALLI
That is not true. It is not good fortune to beat Worlds No. 1 and 2 in consecutive matches. He fully deserved the win in US Open. He was awesome and overpowered both Federer and Nadal with his supreme power

australia can merely win against a depleted weak NZ team, its clear they are declining. After ponting retires in december, they will be even weaker side.

Whats with NZL and loosing the big ones
NZL seem to have made it a habit to loose the big ones...that really sucks after such a good performance in the preliminary stages...why did vettori have to miss out the crucial one !! Man that sucks !! NZL sucks for being such a good team yet never delivering when needed the most, dont be happy aussies, you suck even more....

Can anyone remember when/what was the last triangular series/Cup won by NZ?

Inspite of having great game wins, Aussies really lack sportsmans spirit.

Korea to become Nuclear power nation ......
Chinese r afraid of Korean concept that is unity of North Korea and south Korea ...North korea is going to have Nuclear Power or Nuclear bomb though even chinese are aginst it ...and South korea is ahead in Technology and economic devlopment ..and with the combination if north and south Korea the Korean unity will become a Technolgy and economic hub with N bomb power as well.... The western powers will also be happy with this in years to come as it will be the most suitable alternative against the Chinese ..A Nuclear state of Korean entity combined after unification of north and south Korea .... such Korean nation will definetly stop the march of the chinese giant off course with support of Western powers .....As India has not been able to contain the Chinese influence the best thing that can thwart the march of chinese giant is Unification of Korean ... so let their be Unification of Korea and thus the N bomb of north korea and economic and techonlgy hub of both Koreas will be big blow to Chinese ambitions ....
by XianYe on Oct 05, 2009 12:55 PM
Korea was once a vassel state of China and shall resume its former position very soon. It is more likely that part of North Korea will be absorbed by China than having a unified Korea which the Japs definitely don't want to see. Neither do the US or Russia. There lies the tragedy for Korea, which must kiss up to China, as it did for centuries, so that it might have a reason to exist as an independent country.

UN releases Mahatma Gandhi stamp

What People Thinks

by Murli Devi

India abused Gandhi, World needed Gandhi
Whatever has been done with Gandhi in India is matter of shame for entire nation. As soon as it was confirmed that India was going to be an independent nation, Nehru and patel formed union of congress and started disposing Gandhi slowly and got only interested in getting the power of Independant India. They humiliated Gandhi restlessly, did not consider him, ignored him.
Gandhi was against partition, so they sent him for 14 days tour to Bihar, and in his absence passed the resolution in congress to divide the nation about which even Jinnah was not knowing. Mountbaten helped Nehru in this division as both of them shared closeness.

During the last days of Gandhi was so alone that only Abdul Gaffar Khan and Maulana Abul Kalam stood beside him and a dejected used and thrown world of Gandhism.

Right from that time in this country Gandhi became the face of scapegoat and forcibly put mascot on corruption in governance. India gave Gandhi nothing except humiliation.
But today countries more stronger than India, like USA and South Africa call themselves the follower of Gandhi and dedicated their social birth to Gandhi, gives strong befitting slap on the face of hypocratic Indians and India who only know to attend some function shamelessly and get away with type casted speech of idiolism only. Shame that even China today considers Gandhi as a moving force behind China! While India has wrapped likes of Nehru, lalu, karunanidhi and Thackray kind of leaders instead of Gandhi!
by Watts Ravinder
Mahatma Gandhi
Whenever any person is hurt in the course of his life the manliness brings forth a new personality out of him like Gold is thrown into fire. Mahatma Gandhi was one of us living a British followed life till he was denied access like an independent man in British Raj ruling 3/4 of world and they were proud to say that the Sun does not set in the British Empire. Bal Gangadhar Tilakwho defied British, was mentor of Gandhi who claimed " FREEDOM IS MY BIRTH RIGHT". In South Africa Gandh became a leader of Hindus and Muslims alike. British Regime in India did not relish his homecoming. They prepared Jinnah who stayed 3 years in England and promised him Pakistan. They bought him sothat English people may go back unhurt from from Hindustan His Follower Subash Chander Bose raised a slogan "Give me Blood I will give you Freedom". Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel asked for "Dandi March" in late twenties but Gandhi knew that it was too early a decision. After a decade. "Quit India " movement had to belaunched. Gandhi had to yield before Jinnah and British for Partition. It was Raj Gopalacharya who advised congress to yield for the partition otherwise non-violence will fail. Hence Voilence during partition overcame. But he a man who stuck to his guns of Non-voilence which existed that is why UN is celebrating in his name. India had given many a Mahatma Gandhi. Like Shyama Prasad Mukherhji, Deendayal Upadhayaya,Swami Karpatri and many more.Ultimately Charisma could not work out in Politics.
by Haramohan Roy
India and Gandhi
India has never seen a more successful and greater mass-leader than Mohandas Karamchand. He is simply the greatest - and greater than most international leaders!

Others are even less than pigmeys compared to him. No wonder, elements like Mayawati call him names!!
by Pillay
420 hero
He was a real great man for the UK.He provoked others to rebel and fight against rulers, to sacrifice their lives for the freedom, whereas, he sang the song of 'Ahinsa' infront of then British government, be it South Africa or India, he was always busy praising British, doing dramas, everywhere he played double games. By doing so, he created many businessmen from Gujrat and Rajasthan with government money and help, they told their community people of Gujrat and Rajasthan to maintain peace and do business, cheat other Indians, let them die into the fire of fredom, Their intention was," Let others die and make their wrong image infront of the world."
He went to Punjab and many diferent states to instigate youth against British, but always sang the songs of Ramsita and peace, guided his own people not to get indulged with others, avoid it in disguise of peace policies. Jalianbag death massacre was one of his many double games, Chachaji managed to hide everything from our innocent mass. Chachaji also played the same games to save North Indians who mostly played the role of informers for then bureaucrates. Those who betrayed or rebelled, were hung mercilessly. It was Hitler who kicked British out of everywhere, not for these people. If there was no second world war then British would have sold us at the rate of dogs as even now they are busy in turning Africa and Gulfa into a real hell. In the same way Obama is putting on a mask of peace.
