That is one fight to win & that we are best prepared for. War will be agony!
While we should not run, what are the stakes?
1. The moment tensions rise for
real, our economy will plunge.2.Money will become dearer & investors will
stampede to the exit. Some may satisfy themselves - I lost 50000, others many
more!But what about the poor who are the great majority?3. Immediate calls will
be made world-wide to stop the madness. Ultimately, it will come to that, with
heavy human losses.4. Even our neighbours will have to take sides & make
some noise. 5. If the conflict gets out of hand, millions can die & the cost
will cripple us!6. The blame game will start but damage done!
There are many
more to list! Yes, by all means never run for cover & stand up but let us
not get carried away! War is no joke. It was not like when people fight had
lunch, dinner & even slept at home to wake up another day!
We are
vulnerable! Life will never be the same again! When tensions rose with Taiwan,
China said they never start a war as that can kill their own! But what about us?
The stakes are too high! Our rivers Brahmaputra & Indus originate in the
Tibetan plataeu & damming them will choke our farmers!
Why not really
cool the tempers? Yes, we need unity but we face enemies who are answerable to
noone! Just plain hatred goads them! We need the support of organised govts to
fight them like US is cooperating with others now!
For God's sake, tone down
the rhetoric!
